BV-2 Microglia
BV-2 microglial cell line was derived from the immortalized murine neonatal microglia1. BV-2 Microglial cells are used frequently by in vitro models in order to study brain inflammation as a substitute for the primary microglia1. BV-2 Microglial cells are preferentially used for studies compared to primary microglia, due to the high fidelity of the BV-2 response1.
